- Samples taken from human remains at the American museum of Natural History in 1993. Remains were originally excavated from burial contexts by Haralan I. Smith at the North Saanich Site: Large error resulting from this sample being a mixed combination of many small carbon samples. Thom notes that date is very secure though.
