- Feature 40, the most deeply buried cultural feature excavated, it is the remains of a fire built in a pit. It originated in the middle of Level 4 and extended into the culturally sterile Level 5. The scattered charcoal and rocks from the nearby Feature 39 may be material cleaned out of Feature 40 or another firepit that was not found.
