Context
Charcoal from Feature 2, a hearth in Stratum C initially identifield in TP-2; found at ca. 0.64 bmgs; 15 cm deep. A large unlined basin hearth filled with oxidized SS frags. Meas. nearly 1 m in dia. Contained a high quantity of ash and large pieces of charcoal; no oxidation rind apparent. Fill: charred goosefoot, purslane seeds, juniper berries, saltbush and juniper charcoal, almost 70 small bone frags. Items in the vicinity of the hearth: biface frag., uniface, bone bead (possibly displaced by rodents), and a ground paint palette
