Context
Structure 2 fill. Located ca 15 m SW of Structure 1. Irregularly shaped, ca. 2.3 x 3.25 m, compact use surface with a central hearth, 9 postholes, 3 floor pits. Floor was excavated 7-22 cm into friable native caliche. Floor surface was heavily oxidized. Fill was a layer of dense charcoal and ash (pine and juniper). Upper fill contained 50 flaked and ground stone artifacts. These included 10 cores, 1 abrader, 4 metate frags., 1 hematite paint stone. Only 2 artifacts on the floor--biface and a one hand mano. No bone in fill. Pollen from floor was elevated levels of Cheno-Ams.
