- Charcoal from Feature 1 hearth. It appeared just below the loose silt, ca. 11 cm bmgs. Fill: matrix of dark charcoal and ash with a moderate amount of burned rock. Seven charred juniper seed frags., and 13 tiny, charred bone frags. Roughly circular, steep-walled, unlined basin partially excavated into decomposing bedrock, ca. 23 cm bmgs.
