- Context
- Test in one of the blinds assoc. with the drive walls. Two distinct and large quantities of charcoal were found in the test pit. The first was at 25 cm, immediately adjacent to rocks showing evidence of burning. The 2nd concentration was at 52 cm depth and was 11 cm thick, consisting of an ash and charcoal lens together with a mat of charred evergreen needles and twigs. This is the uppermost of 2 samples dated and was found at 25 cm. The dates are reversed, and this sample is older than the lower dated sample. The date is nevertheless consistent with the Early Ceramic proj pts found at the site.
