Context
Test Unit 1; placed in a recently documented area where Paleoindian artifacts had been found. A recently exposed ash stain (Hearth) was also present. 45 interior flakes derived from the surface as well as a mano. Cultural material was 1-3 cm bmgs and ranged from 3-5 cm thick. This stratum was loose to semi-compact ash stained silty sand with light charcoal flecks. Small pieces picked out for the 14C sample. (see 2nd sample results)
