Context
Test Unit 2, Feature 2, 85-92 cm bmgs. In The Camp Area, Level C. Feature 2 is a basin meas. 70 cm in dia., 23 cm deep. Located atop a bown sandy/silty clay. Basin is loosely filled with SS rocks and charcoal. Interpreted as an in situ hearth. A charcoal lens with small FCR frags is SE of the hearth, 72-74 cm bmgs. The area meas 50 cm in dia., 0.5 to 1.5 cm thick, and ma represent debris cleaned from the hearth. Assocl artifacts: debitage, burned bone frags, 1 charred Echinocereus seed, and Pinus and Alnus charcoal.
