- DjPm-116, Smyth: This is the largest and most significant bison kill site within the reservoir area. It is situated on a low, flat, north facing terrace at the base of a much higher, steep glaciofluvial terrace. As many as 4000 bison may be present in the large bone bed at the base of the terrace. Depth of the bone bed varies depending on the slope and the thickness of the colluvial mantle, but all of it is deeply buried, at 150-230 cm depth. Landals assigns AECV-344C, -867C, and -868C to this bone bed and notes that all identifiable projectile points recovered from it can be classified as Pelican Lake.
