- Feature 6, a bell-shaped storage pit in Stratum C, Mitigation Pit 2. An asymmetrical ovate pit, 40 cm in dia. at the mouth and 65 cm at the widest point near the base, 50 cm deep.. Assoc. with the lower deposits of Stratum C, excavated into Stratum D betw 1.23 and 1.73 m bmgs. Fill: several SS frags., debitage, and 200+ charred and uncharred bone frags. Only tool in the vicinity was a hammerstone. Also charred or dried pigweed, goosefoot, ricegrass, purslane seeds, cocklebur fruit, sumac berries, wild grapes, prickly pear fruitn, and pinon nuts.
