Context
Charcoal from Feature 5 hearth, Stratum A, Mitigation Pit 4. A shallow basin containing a concentration of small cobbles and frags., at the base of Stratum A, 30-44 cm bmgs. Fill: dark, charcoal rich silt plus the cobbles. Also, goosefoot seeds and several charred bone frags. Juniper and possibly pinyon used for fuel. Artifacts recovered in the vicinity: bone bead frag. 2 modified flakes, a ground pebble, a small C/N proj pt frag., an expedient flake tool, a mano frag.
