- Feature 2 roasting pit, was truncated by Feature 1; also disturbed by the MAPL pipeline trench and plow zone. Extant portion meas. 52 cm x at least 40 cm, 34 cm deep. Upper fill was post-abandonment refuse. Lower fill was primary refuse, with ash, charcoal, and abundant burned adobe pieces. The latter may have been put in the pit for heat retention. Zea mays cupules, tomatillo, beeweed, squash, purslane present in fill of both pits.
