- Sample is from hearth located just in front of the wickiup doorway, meas. ca. 25 cm in dia. Given a credibility level of None because it is so modern. Another date is reported by Beta from the hearth but it was possibly contaminated by radioactivity from the atomic bomb testing in the atmosphere in the 1950s (B-132961). All of the 14C dates are subject to the old wood effect, given the fact that aspen frequently lays on the ground for several hundred years.
