- Comments
- FjPh-101, Flach: Excavation uncovered the remains of at least two bison larger than contemporary forms, with many of the long bones placed in piles. The tip to tip measurement of the horn cores, >90 cm, is larger than normally observed in modern bison. Bonnichsen suggests that these remains may represent the youngest dated ~Bison occidentalis< skeletons yet recovered in the northern Plains. The only two artifacts recovered are a flake and a non-diagnostic triangular point made on a quartzite flake.
