- Comments
- FhNb-29, Inkster Island: This is a single component site representing the Pehonan complex. Meyer has obtained four radiocarbon dates and two thermoluminescence dates for this site, and he estimates the age of occupation at about 450 BP. The TL dates are in good agreement with the estimate: AD 1510 +/- 95 (Dur88TL111-1AS, on a potsherd) and AD 1405 +/- 120 (Dur88TL111-2AS, on baked hearth clay). Two radiocarbon dates on bone have measured ages that appear too young, but their older two-sigma limits overlap the estimated age after they are normalized. The two paleosol dates are anomalously old.
