Context
Charred twig from Feature 1, a rock and charcoal filled roasting or steaming pit in the N bank of the Arapaho Pass trail a shortdistance E of its junction with the trail that branches N to Arapaho Glacier. Steep sided, irregularly shaped; 59 x 55 cm in dia., 11 cm deep. Floor was oxidized. Hearth used during L. Prehistoric period. Fill contained 35 FCRs, 3-15 cm in dia., 4 pieces of a grinding slab, and 14+ flakes of 4 different material types, including Kremmling chert and Table Mt. jasper
