- Context
- Feature 2, a poorly preserved medium-sized, rock-filled basin in TU5, Locality C. Originally identified as charcoal- stained sediment and heat-altered rock eroding from the surface. Feature was present in Levels 1 and 2. Meas. 64 x 42 cm in dia., 14 cm deep. Fill was lightly charcoal-stained sediment with sparse small charcoal chunks throughout. Fourteen heat-altered rocks weighing 10.7 kg were in fill. Some of the rocks may have formed a lining, but this isn't clear. Seven flakes of locally available chert found in fill also.
