- FaNq-25, Gowen 1: The main excavation area was comprised of a large number of contiguous squares, and a smaller area to the south was excavated after disturbance by heavy equipment. The 23 recovered projectile points were the subject of a detailed typological analysis that resulted in the definition of the Gowen side-notched type as one of several early side-notched point types. Walker (1992: Table 1; Rutherford et al., 1981: 125) notes that S-1526 is inconsistent with the other dates and rejects it as too recent. The age of the site can be inferred from the average of the other four dates.
