- Comments
- FaNp-19, Hartley: Four field school sessions have yielded evidence of a single occupation containing both Avonlea and late side-notched points. A date has been obtained on bison bone. Clarke (1995) presents a detailed analysis of this site, arguing that it represents a transition from Avonlea to the Old Women's phase of the late prehistoric period. Fauna: Aves 47: Anas crecca 45-1, Anas discors cf. 1-1, Bubo virginianus 12-1, Tympanuchus phasianellus 1-1, Bonasa umbellus 1-1, Meleagris gallopavo 105-4, Corvus corax 4-2; Pisces 13: Esox lucius 19-2; Mollusca: Pelecypoda 15, Gastropoda 4, Stagnicola sp 17, Lymnaeidae 6, Vallonia sp 86, Gyraulus sp 1
