Context
Bulk soil sample from Feature 14, hearth. Meas. at least 54 cm in dia., 19 cm deep. Originated 40 cm bmgs, beneath the Spring Creek Paleosol. Fill was grayish-brown coarse sand with nodules of oxidized sand. Artifacts: 1 piece of debitage, ca 30 gm of FCR, and 1 bone frag. Flake was Browns Park chalcedony. Walls, base and adjoining surfaces were oxidized. Interpreted as an expedient hearth.
