- Context
- Feature 12, a circular, shallow, basin-shaped hearth, 44 x 42 cm in dia., 11 cm deep; found at a depth of 20 cm bmgs. Contained 4 slabs along the N boundary. Peripheral rocks observed to the E and S may once have lined the feature. Filled with black, silty sand, 3 pieces of FCR, and a few pieces of charcoal. Absence of bone suggests that it was not used as a roasting pit.
