Context
Feature 3, discovered during trenching, assigned to Component 1.Date is on bulk soil sample. Portion that was excavated had black sandy siol with 6 large FCRs. Meas. 68 x 51 cm in dia., 27cm deep; originated 50 cm bmgs. No oxidation. Artifacts: 15 pieces of debitage, 13 bones (remains of a partial deer leg plus other mammals). Interpreted as a hearth that may have been used to process animal bone for marrow.
