- Comments
- DaEh-1, Ile aux Basques (Cache): The associated pottery is decorated with push-pull, incised, and check-stamped motifs, indicating possible affiliation with the Pickering Branch of the Early Ontario Iroquois tradition and with the Castle Creek and Oak Hill phases of late Owasco times in New York. Martijn finds the date acceptable for the associated pottery type on the basis of the developmental state of Iroquois culture in southern Ontario and New York (Wright, 1966; Ritchie, 1965).
