Comments
AkGv-8, Parsons: The artifact assemblage from this late Iroquoian site suggests that the village was occupied around AD 1450. Three radiocarbon dates are consistent with this age, while one is anomalously old. An anomalously young date may reflect contamination by European cultigens. Fauna: (Flora) Rhus typhina 10, Lepidium sp, Diervilla lonicera, Aralia sp, Ostrya virginiana, Typha latifolia, Acer sp, Fagus grandifolia, Fraxinus sp, Pinus strobus, Ulmus americana, Quercus sp, Populus sp or Salix sp, Tilia americana, Carya sp, Juglans sp
