- DfJn-1, Cressman: Cooper and Savage (1994: 23) report that this disturbed multi-component site was investigated during the 1976 Interior Thunder Bay Region Survey with only three thermally altered bones recovered from the surface and from test pits. They could not be identified below class. M. McLeod suggests that since the site is well exposed, it was probably used during the summer season. Previous excavations, in 1964/65, recovered bones of woodland caribou, small mammals, birds and fish (n=24), but these materials were not included in McGowan's analysis.
