Comments
BcGw-10, Dunsmore: GSC-2663 reflects an early component of the prehistoric Huron. Cooper and Savage (1994: 28) report that 1977 excavations of one text square yielded 249 well preserved, analytically useful specimens, with recovery aided by 1.6 mm mesh screening. Complete site excavation in 1989, including flotation, produced about 900 more specimens. Preliminary work on these reveals that two-thirds are fish, there are few artiodactyls and many small mammals; fish and bird diversity are high.
