- AdHi-VP, Port Talbot: The gravel containing a mastodon tusk is younger than S-7 (>25000 BP; McCallum, 1955), older than L-185B (28200 +/- 1500 BP; Broecker and Kulp, 1957), L-217B (24600 +/- 1600 BP; Broecker and Kulp, 1957), and W-177 (27500 +/- 1200; Rubin and Suess, 1955), and dates a glacial advance following the Port Talbot interstadial and preceding the Plum Point interstadial (Dreimanis, 1958a, 1958b). Another portion of the same sample was analyzed by the Lamont laboratory (L-440, >29500). Yet another portion was dated by the Groningen laboratory (Gro-2580, 44200 +/- 1500), confirming the suggestion by Olson and Broecker that this sample has a finite age.
