- AaHq-8, Bruner-Colasanti: This 1 ha site contains materials of both the Younge and the Springwells phases of the Western Basin tradition. Cooper and Savage (1994: 15) report that the large faunal sample came from 77 pit features, much of it flotated and fragmentary. Recovery, with the possible exception of fish remains, is judged to be representative of exploitation at this site. Clustering of thermally altered bone suggests an activity area for processing game animals. Analysis indicates a late autumn to early spring occupation. Nine artifacts include beads, an antler awl or punch, and a projectile point.
