- AaHp-20, Robson Road: This site contains a complex record of Middle and Late Woodland occupation in two areas, Area A and Area B, situated about 40 m apart. The site was visited repeatedly over a period of several centuries, and individual pit features contain artifacts diagnostic of various phases within the Western Basin tradition. Seven features have been dated by radiocarbon, and two of these contain faunal remains. Some undated features with faunal remains can be assigned to the Riviere au Vase, Younge, or Springwells phases, but many features containing faunal remains lack diagnostic artifacts. The 1981 excavations indicated that fishing was an important dietary component during a spring to early summer occupation (Cooper and Savage 1994: 81), and the 1988 excavations suggested use of the site for late winter hunting and spring fishing. The evidence allows for an occupation in any season, but a prolonged period of summer use is unlikely. Five artifacts include a modified fish spine, a netting needle, and three modified antler tines.
