- Comments
- AfGu-2, Bonisteel: A Middleport village is underlain by an earlier, unidentified component. Cooper and Savage (1994: 11) report that salvage work on this estimated 2 ha site was restricted to the area of an eroding bank on Lake Erie. The site may have been occupied year-round, but the faunal evidence only confirms warm-weather occupation. Three artifacts include a modified beaver incisor and two worked mammal bones of uncertain purpose.
