- OdPc-22 (00-DCA-140): A large Palaeoeskimo site is located on coarse gravel raised beaches between 14 and 18 m elevation. This site overlooks the Thule winter houses at site 133 (OdPc-16). There are two main rows of dwelling features here, many of which are partly overgrown by vegetation. The uppermost level is at 17.5-18 m elevation where 33 features are spread over a distance of about 200 m. Three samples were collected from this level: 140a, bone from a midden mound at the west end; 140b, seal bone from beneath stones in a vegetated tent ring about 50 m from the west end; and 140c, burnt bones from 0-5 cm depth in the central area of the same tent ring as 140b. Rootlets occur in some of the burnt bones. Forty or more dwelling features occur with rather regular spacing over about 250 m distance on the next level. At the east end, this line of features is at 16.5-17 elevation. The west end is about 1 m lower (15.5-16 m). Charcoal sample 140d (AA-40583) was collected from beneath a cobble in a weakly defined midpassage about 30 m from the west end of the site (elevation 15.5-16 m). An additional 10 features occur between 14 and 16 m elevation at the west end of the site.
