- The lab reported an age of 7120 +/- 25, corrected to C-13 = 0 parts per mil. The normalized age was calculated by adding 410 years to the mean.
- Comments
- SdFi-VP, Rosse Bay: A section of the rib dated by GSC-3055 was subjected to exhaustive testing by the Isotrace laboratory, producing an AMS date (TO-33). Another section of the rib was used to test the effect of latex mold facing material used to make casts of bones. The result, GSC-3055-2, shows that the latex significantly reduced both the age (2570 +/- 220 BP) and the 13C ratio (-25.4) of this sample.
