- Comments
- RaJn-VP: Both otic capsules and both periotic bones (ball-shaped parts only) were collected from a bowhead skull 100% buried upright in sandy beach gravel capped by peat. The slightly weathered skull is 200 cm wide. Several other bones of this animal occur nearby. This sample is about 50 m inland of narwhal sample 93-DCA-053 and at the same elevation. Another bowhead skull occurs at the same level and 100 m seaward of this sample, it has no ear bones and the skull bone is in bad condition.
