- Comments
- QkHl-VP: A periotic bone (ball-shaped part only) was collected from one side of a bowhead skull 99% buried upside down in very coarse beach gravel. The skull is too deeply embedded to measure. A thin layer of carbonate bedrock is exposed in a stream bed 100 m south of this sample. The beach gravel here is mostly shingle gravel of carbonate clasts and the till on the lowland is carbonate rich. All bedrock outcrop elsewhere on the lowland is gneiss.
