- Comments
- PfJq-VP: A whale bone in a gravel bed was overlain by six gravel beds totalling 2 metres thick culminating in a raised beach ridge at the surface. Each gravel bed is separated from the others by a thin bed of "peat," i.e., nearly pure organic material. The organic bed overlying the gravel from which 77-DCA-B6 was collected was sampled (77-DCA-P4) and dated at 4760 +/- 65 (S-1376). The uppermost "peat" bed, directly below the gravel forming the surface beach ridge, was sampled (77-DCA-P7) and dated 4280 +/- 135 (S-1377).
