- Comments
- PeJc-VP: Periotic bones were collected in situ from both sides of a bowhead skull buried in gravelly sand on a raised beach and partly exposed by wind erosion of the sediment. Several other bowheads and narwhal occur close by on the same strandline (samples 88-DCA-92, 93, 94, 95, 97, 98). The bones have recently been exploited by Arctic Bay Inuit for carving material.
