Comments
PaHd-VP: Four teeth were collected from the upper left jaw of a beluga. The bone was degraded, and the right jaw was missing. A detached cranium lies nearby along with a few degraded beluge vertebrae, 80% buried in beach gravel. A bowhead skull occurs 10 m northward. An earbone was also collected from one side of the beluga cranium. Two of the larger teeth, 6.5 and 7.1 cm long, were selected for dating, yielded the first non-archaeological beluga date from the Canadian Arctic.
