- Comments
- EcOs-41: This is an extensive processing site 20 km west of Ramillies (EcOr-35). It had been extensively damaged by mudpits serving a gas wellsite, and thirteen 1 m squares were excavated with Brumley's SPEED machine or by shovel and screen. Of seven projectile point fragments, only one could be assigned to a type, Avonlea. A composite sample of bone fragments (RL-1126) is much too late to represent the Avonlea phase, and a sample (RL-1125) from a hearth feature is also rather late "and must be viewed critically" (Brumley and Dau, 1988: 43).
