- Comments
- OlHc-VP: Periotic bones were collected in situ from both sides of a juvenile bowhead skull, 92 cm wide, 100% buried upside down in beach gravel below a large skull, 196 cm wide, that rested upright upon it. Earbones were missing from the large skull. The initial age determination (S-3396; 780 +/- 80 BP) seemed anomalously young for a sample at this elevation so a second sample was prepared and submitted for verification. This second determination is still a little young for a 6.5 m elevation.
