Context
small surface hearth, square 4S/0W, 1.75 m depth, with the only occupation defined at the site
Comments
EbOp-14: Upon discovery, the site consisted of a small hearth and a number of flakes eroding from the riverbank at a depth of 1.75 m. Excavations in 1973 and 1975 resulted in the definition of a single occupation associated with the hearth and yielded a large quantity of lithic debitage and a small amount of bone along with a few non-diagnostic stone tools. The date suggests that the occupation was contemporaneous with the McKean phase occupation of the nearby Cactus Flower site (EbOp-16).
