- Comments
- EeMi-VP: GSC-280 was taken from the bottom of a cut in an organic clay zone containing twigs and bone fragments along with a bison skull. The zone is overlain by 4 m of silty clay including beds of pelecypod-bearing silt, sand, and gravel, and is underlain by 18 m of clay, in part probably lacustrine. Klassen interprets the date as marking a late phase in valley filling. Nielsen et al. (1984: 837) suggest that the associated skull represents Bison bison occidentalis.
