- black ash, 2-6" above subsoil, 6' south of main test pit on shore side of site, from a carefully cleaned face of a bulldozer cut, ca. 15' depth
- Comments
- GbTo-10, Co-op: This is a large shell midden shown by laboratory analysis to contain at least two components of which the uppermost represents recent Tsimshian occupation and culture. GaK-1477 indicates the approximate time of initial accumulation at this site. No traces of midden remain as Co-op Site. Complete destruction by development. Original site area now consists of Prince Rupert co-operative fish plant and office buildings, Fairview Bay government wharf and customs, CNR double tracks, paved roads and parking lots. Rup rap or cement support walls obscure most of the original shoreline here
