- FhUa-1, Honna River: This is a stratified shell midden 3.6 m deep, overlain by 60 cm of recent humus accumulation. It was not used by the historic Haida. The fauna differs greatly from that of the mainland. MacDonald states that the site was studied at the suggestion of S. Brown who revealed this shell deposit on a strand line of Graham Island dated around 8000 years ago. The deposit represents a dump behind a prehistoric village, and it accumulated long after the drop in sea level that formed the strand.
