- Test pits were excavated through 1 m of cultural deposits to clean beach sands at a depth of 110 cm. Upper sediments consisted of black carbonaceous sands and gravels grading into lighter colored artifact-bearing beach sands reminiscent of those at PET-650. Hearth stone alignments were found at two distinct levels. Charcoal from the top of the cultural deposit was dated to 5570 ± 30 14C yr B.P. (Beta-337148), and charcoal from the bottom was dated to 8080 ± 40 14C yr B.P.
