- FcSi-1, Goose Point: Of four radiocarbon samples from this site, S-502 was derived from the hearth in the Suzchet House, and the other three came from excavation of the Bes Tco House. The Suzchet House is definitely not a Chilcotin winter lodge, but in its simplicity resembles Bes Yaz and perhaps Tl'okut houses at the Potlatch site (FcSi-2). In the Bes Yaz House, S-1037 and S-1038 were associated with a heavy bone concentration at the floor level. S-1039 was from an apparent post hole and is in conflict with the other two dates, although all samples were believed to be in association with the construction or earliest use of the house. It is similar in age to S-502 from the Suzchet House and may indicate an earlier episode of activity in the area. The Bes Yaz House is of the historic Chilcotin form, in keeping with the two younger radiocarbon dates, and is assigned to the protohistoric period.
