Comments
The sample was collected by William Irving in 1950 from the "Imaigenik" site, near Anaktuvuk Pass (Tulugak Lake shore). The small flecks of charcoal were separated from the faunal lot (UA97-109-217), a mixed bag of fractured bones, in 2007. The bone and charcoal are reportedly associated with a subsurface hearth feature described by Irving.
