- Sample was collected from a small test pit (not an indentifiable hearth or other cultural feature) on 7/21/2006. Numerous chert flakes were recovered in the test pit. Also a thick, edge-ground lanceolate projectile point base was found at this site, but there is no clear association with charcoal other than occuring within the same lithic scatter several memters in diameter. The sample consists of only one ring edge. The curve of the rings suggests it is a branch fragment. Charcoal characterization was done in 2006 by Claire Alix.
