- The test unit was located within the perimiter of the surface tent ring (feature IV). Level 2 (10-20 cm below surface) is within a red-brown soil matrix.
- Comments
- Cut bone from a 3 x 4 m oval tent ring with remains of an old willow branch floor. The bone was sawn, possibly with a metal tool. Investigator did not observe any flaked stone artifacts, but did note a lack of metal or modern implements and posited a turn of the century (late 1800s early 1900s) age. No subsurface testing was conducted (Schoenberg 1985:89).
