- BaGv-7, Zander: strandline of glacial Lake Algonquin, overlooking the Holland Marsh embayment. Excavation of 96 sq m (Stewart, 1984) and numerous surveys have produced 44 projectile points, 184 other worked artifacts, and 1977 flakes and fragments (Stewart, 2004: Table 4-2). The projectile points represent the Early Palaeoindian period (Gainey, Crowfield), the Late Palaeoindian period (Holcombe and Lanceolate), and Early Archaic side-notched styles (Stewart, 2004: Table 4-1). The feature dated by Beta-7308 may be a Palaeoindian hearth that was naturally altered over a long period of time, or it may represent a more recent tree-throw that produced an apparent association between the artifacts and the dated material.
