Comments
AlGt-32, White: This site covers about 0.8-1.2 ha and is located on a secondary river terrace. The relatively shallow nature of the cultural deposit, apparent lack of longhouse structures (although post holes do occur), plus the scarcity of animal bone suggests that this site is likely some sort of seasonal campsite at which specialized economic activities took place. Hayden comments: dates are from various locations on the site, hence may represent more than one component. S-858 appears anomalous but may represent early Iroquoian occupation. Excluding S-858, the mean value is compatible with a contemporaneous occupation at the Draper site.
